Establishing a Healthy Diet

Everyone is familiar with the term of having a healthy diet. However, it is much easier said than done. Fad diets come and go, while many do not work. According to ABC news, there are "100 million dieters and is 20 Billion dollar industry" that "supposedly" helps people with weight loss, diet books, diet drugs and weight loss surgeries. Our lives today are so busy that people do not have time to cook a healthy meal, or exercise just because of the demands that are placed on us everyday.

So what can you do to establish a healthy diet, naturally? You eat foods that are healthy to your body, they include proteins, carbohydrates and fats found in lean wild meats, poultry, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes and properly prepared grains. Things would want to remove from your diet are sodas, increased sugars, refined grains, unhealthy fats, junk foods and dairy products that contain hormones and antibiotics.

When possible, eat organic foods and unprocessed foods. Organic foods do not contain commercial pesticides, fungicides, hormones, preservatives and antibiotics. Think about all the harmful chemicals that are ingested in your body when you consume all these harsh chemicals. The body was not meant to ingest those chemicals, so over time health problems arise. Think about this, you would not drink or spray weed killer on your foods at home, so why purchase and eat products that the chemicals, farmers use on your food? Makes you wonder, right?

Whenever possible, check out your local farmers market or health food stores where you can get organic produce and products that are not processed and still have their nutritional value. The next time you are at health food store, or farmers market, ask questions about their products and produce. You will notice a difference in taste and freshness without all the harmful chemicals. If you have any questions, please feel to post your question and I will answer any question you may have. If I don't know the answer, I will definitely research it and get back to you.
